Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group has Partnered with a fast-growing organization who is seeking a new Regional Sales Manager to oversee a territory and a number of Sales Associates. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for the ongoing measurement, analysis and achievement of sales key performance indicators. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing sales strategy and, once set, he/she will ensure that strategy is being successfully executed and communicated across their geographic region resulting in achievement of the desired growth goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans designed to achieve business growth objectives
  • Lead the development, reporting and monitoring of sales strategy key performance indicators
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts/results reports
  • Partner in developing, recommending and executing sales strategies and tactics in support of the broader company strategy focused on new patient consult growth
  • Remain current on the changing market trends and competitive landscape across regional territories
  • Convert analytical insights and field sales input in to new patient growth opportunities
  • Demonstrate a firm grasp of industry trends, understand market conditions, and develop or modify strategies and tactics to stay ahead of the competition
  • Work with Compliance Department to ensure members of the sales team are adequately trained in all areas of healthcare compliance and adhere to the highest levels of ethical promotional standards
  • Work with marketing team and strategic partners to develop a plan of action that optimizes promotional impact and takes advantage of current and future market opportunities
  • Analyze sales and operations data to monitor sales progress and develops corrective plans to improve sales force effectiveness/efficiency
  • Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary
  • Partner with Director to oversee sales management, budget control, compensation programs and incentive planning
  • Ensure effective hiring, orientation, training, development and retention
  • Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include but not limited to field coaching reports, performance development plans and salary reviews
  • Develop systems and processes to translate data in to actionable activities and business forecasts
  • Assist in formulation of field sales management budgets
  • Monitor, review and approve administrative aspects of the role (weekly call plan updates, Amex/expense reporting, mileage reporting, etc.) in a timely fashion.
  • Focus sales strategy and tactic development to drive profitability and new patient consult volume in a broad range of business conditions ranging from account and volume retention to new territory and product development/sales
  • Partner with sales and operations team to develop center growth plans
  • Coach and mentor sales team to develop targeted call cycle plans
  • Develop and implement standard/best practice approaches across the sales discipline
  • Promote a high degree of positive morale, including encouraging teamwork and communication between employees and partnership with other Regional Sales Manager(s).
  • Adhere to and uphold all applicable federal and state compliance regulations as well as compliance policies and procedures, and applicable healthcare fraud, waste and abuse law
  • Perform all other related duties, as required and assigned


Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree required; 3 to 5 years related sales management experience
  • Previous experience in medical sales environment
  • Experience working for equity-owned organizations
  • Ability to conduct frequent long-distance day trips and overnight travel
  • Outstanding leadership skills; a strategic business leader able to align with company's culture and values
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Strong data, financial and business acumen
  • Experience leading training efforts and initiatives
  • Knowledge/experience/success partnering with multiple constituents to establish and build out the sales channel and define go-to-market growth strategies
  • Proven skills in facilitating decision making in complex situations
  • Ability to be highly analytical and express complex ideas in succinct terms
  • Problem solving approach, solution-based focus
  • Expert in Interpersonal communication - inspirational leadership
  • Excellent organizational/multi-tasking skills with acute attention to details
  • Track record of sales success
