The Freddie Mac Enterprise Architecture Office is seeking a Senior Director to provide leadership and oversight associated with the Platforms and Data Solutions architecture.

Your Work Falls Into the Following Two Primary Categories

Platforms and Data Solutions Architecture

  • Platforms within Freddie Mac include, but not limited to:
    • Databases: RDBMS, NoSQL, HDFS
    • Application Platforms: WebLogic, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Tomcat, JBoss
    • Infrastructure: AWS, VMware & VMC
    • Information Security: Tivoli Access Manager, Ping
    • ALM & Pipeline: Atlassian, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Selenium, ELK
  • Hands-on and architectural experience with these is required in this role, as well as, proven record of leading architects through organizational transformations


  • Direct and manage a number of Platform and Data architects, who are engaged with Technical Product Managers and engineering teams of various Platforms and Data Services within Freddie Mac
  • Collaborate with other Enterprise Architect leads to assure that the Freddie Mac Platforms are aligned with EA vision, roadmap, principles, and guidelines and can enable software engineering teams and solution architects to deliver on business outcomes
  • Lead your team through transformation into Agile Architecture and align with the Modern Delivery methodology within Freddie Mac


  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required; Advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture and/or Platform Architecture for a financial services organization
  • 7+ years of relevant people management experience required
  • 3+ years of relevant large-scale enterprise transformation experience as relates to architecture is preferred
  • Prior experience in the primary or secondary mortgage industry is desirable
  • Deep knowledge of various enterprise level Platforms widely used in the industry

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to succinctly present complex subject matter, specifically translating technology problems/solutions to business stakeholders
