Freddie Mac's Finance division is currently seeking a Valuation and Analytics Director to be part of the Multifamily CFO department. The Multifamily CFO department is responsible for financial accounting and reporting, profitability analysis, loan and guarantee valuation activities, and financial planning & analysis for Freddie Mac's Multifamily segment. The hired individual will be responsible for overseeing the valuation of multifamily loans and guarantees and related financial analytics. Responsibilities include:

Your Work Falls into the Following Two Categories


  • Overseeing the multifamily loan and guarantee valuation processes
  • Managing the development of valuation related reporting and analytics
  • Implementing new valuation methodologies in a controlled manner
  • Coordinating valuation related activities with business partners in risk management, internal audit, capital markets and structuring departments

  • Interfacing with Financial Planning & Analysis team on valuation related impacts
  • Maintaining a controlled, well governed valuation process
  • Reviewing/approving work prepared by staff
  • Clearly communicating valuation related status to management
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analytics


  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in capital markets, financial services, and/or financial analysis
  • Experience in the pricing/valuation of loans or securities
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related degree; MBA or related advanced degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint and the aptitude to learn other software
  • CFA, CPA or other relevant certifications preferred
  • Experience managing a team desired
  • Multifamily mortgage markets experience is preferred
