Kinesiology (Tenure-Line Position, Associate/Full Professor Rank)

The School of Kinesiology in George Mason University's College of Education and Human Development (https://kinesiology.gmu.edu) invites applications from senior scholars who can contribute to the growth of the School's research portfolio and fully accredited academic programs. This is a tenure-line, academic year position for which we seek an established researcher and accomplished instructor at the academic rank of Associate or Full Professor. Mason, a Carnegie Research I institution and the largest public university in Virginia, is conveniently located near federal funding agencies in the National Capital Region. The School offers BS, MS and PhD degrees in Kinesiology and Exercise, Fitness and Health Promotion; an MS in Athletic Training; and a BSEd in Health and Physical Education.

Required Qualifications: * Earned doctorate in Kinesiology or a closely related field; * A robust portfolio of ongoing external funding; * An established record of high-impact scholarly publications and presentations in peer reviewed venues; * Recruiting and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students, including service in the role of dissertation committee chair; * Valuing of a collegial and multidisciplinary team approach to teaching, research and service; * Demonstrated teaching quality and versatility at the undergraduate and graduate levels; * Rank-appropriate involvement in university service and professional organizations.

Preferred Qualifications: * Research interests of applicants should align with the vision and mission of the School of Kinesiology and be complementary with the Sports Medicine Assessment, Research & Testing (SMART) Laboratory.
