Per diem, as needed; shifts between 8am - 5:30pm.
*PRN minimum requirement is 2 weekends/month or 5 weekdays/month

Qualified candidates will possess:
• CCC-SLP
• Licensure as an SLP in the state of Maryland
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
**Acute care, Acute Rehab or Skilled Nursing experience
**MBS and/or FEES trained a plus!

The Speech Language Pathologist:
  • Provides SLP consults for acute care inpatients including medical-surgical, IMCU, Telemetry, and Critical Care units.
  • Develop treatment plans and communicate recommendations to physicians and Nursing staff.
  • Performs an initial examination and evaluation to establish a impairment/diagnosis, prognosis and plan of care prior to intervention for all persons served with basic rehabilitation needs in acute care.
  • Provides, or directs and supervises, the therapy intervention consistent with the results of the examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care.
  • Involves the patient/client and appropriate others in the planning, implementation, and assessment of the plan of care.
