Summary

About the Position: Serves as an Information Technology Management Specialist, for supported Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) organization. The incumbent of this position is responsible for Information Technology support to Contract Management Business Process Transition, Systems' Process Reengineering, Workflow/Workload Scheduling, DCMA 360 Site Administration, and data and records management and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the administration, implementation and maintenance of SharePoint (DCMA 360).
  • Assist each functional group/team with establishing metadata standards, site and data analysis, clean-up, and migration planning, conducting initial site set up/configuration and continuing maintenance organizational web pages.
  • Ensure that the site meets all the DCMA IT governance requirements, leads the organizations on-site IT council and provide input/training to functional representatives.
  • Working with DCMA IT and contract management experts, implements the Integrated Workload Management System, develops local business process with workflows, customized lists, and/or document libraries.
  • Monitors system performance to make adjustments, notifies others of system issues and provides solutions for technical problems.

Non-DCMA Permanent Employee Applicants: You will be considered for a Term Position Not To Exceed 13 Months, your appointment may be extended up to a maximum of 8 years. This position may be made permanent without further competition to those candidates that have noncompetitive status.

QUALIFICATIONS: In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

Specialized Experience required: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-11. Specialized experience is defined as: expertise in the implementation and maintenance of SharePoint. Experience troubleshooting, installing, administering, and/or developing a web application; experience with file and data maintenance, record keeping, and/or distribution of forms/documents/information; experience interpreting and providing guidance on information technology procedures and policies; experience providing information technology (IT) support to customers AND I have Information Technology (IT) related experience demonstrating each of the following four competencies: 1) Attention to detail: Thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail; 2) Customer Service: Experience working with clients and customers assessing their needs, providing information or assistance, resolving their problems, satisfying their expectations, knows about available products and services, committed to providing quality products and services; 3) Oral Communication: Experience expressing information to individuals or groups, taking into account the audience and nature of the information, and making oral presentations; 4) Problem Solving: Experience identifying problems and determining the accuracy and relevance of information using judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and making recommendations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
