Freddie Mac's Investment and Capital Markets (ICM) Division is currently seeking a Portfolio Management Professional to support ICM's Liquidity & Contingency Portfolio within the Asset-Liability Management (ALM) team. This person will have the opportunity to be involved in investment activity on the Liquidity desk, and will provide support to incumbent portfolio managers via analysis and execution of portfolio transactions. Your Work Falls into One Primary Category:

Portfolio Analysis and Support
  • Run daily reports on investment positions, trades and market data
  • Provide direct support to trading desk through ad-hoc analysis, creating reports and trade reconciliation throughout the day
  • Work closely with traders across all ICM desks and Back Office to understand trading activity and impacts to cash positions
  • Analyze Cashflow forecasts to anticipate changes in liquidity position and optimize cash usage
  • Assist in development of analytics to provide additional insight into the short-term interest rate market
  • Communicate with counterparties to assist portfolio managers with the execution of trades


Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of professional experience
  • Minimum of 1+ years of functional and industry experience in fixed income markets
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or other related field
  • Experience with working in a fast paced environment and understanding of basic fixed income concepts
  • Proficiency in Excel and ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets. Basic VBA/Python/SQL knowledge is a plus
