We are passionate about advancing hormone research and broadening the understanding of the critical role hormones play in human health.  We are in search of a dynamic and innovative Associate Director, Marketing & Communications to provide a unique blend of technical, strategic, and interpersonal skills to improve member engagement and grow Endocrine Society brand awareness. Your innovative approach to solutions will translate into campaigns that include video, social, digital content alignments, print, and event touchpoints that spark interest and drive engagement of our community that simultaneously meet organizational objectives and drive revenue. As a skilled interpreter in customer insights, you’ll have the opportunity to build and implement strategies based on analytics and take creative approaches to bring campaigns to life.   

 

What you’ll bring to the job:

  • BA/BS, preferably in marketing, communications, public relations or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years marketing experience, preferably in medical association/not-for-profit organization. Healthcare or pharma industry experience a plus. 
  • At least two years of people management experience.   
  • Successful track record of planning and rolling out successful marketing campaigns
  • Demonstrated experience in oversight of digital and print content creation, design and production of print materials and publications, website, and social media activities.
  • Prior experience with Google analytics, marketing automation tools is desirable
  • Savvy interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively. Must be a multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Comfort exploring new technologies and strategies to improve the customer/member experience and increase opportunities for online discussions and the sharing of information.
  • Proven ability to keep abreast of industry trends to ensure messaging is relevant and differentiated.
  • Commitment to continuously growing your professional network and professional development.
  • Flexibility when working with others but have a sense of urgency toward meeting deadlines.
  • Occasional travel and ability to attend some weekend meetings required.

What you’ll own:

  • Implement new strategies for new projects, identify root challenges, audience, value proposition or messaging, and help to craft a winning approach for all initiatives.
  • Design and implement the marketing plans for ENDO, our annual meeting, and support the subsequent development and execution of all plan components.
    • Develop accurate project scopes and timelines for both direct mail and digital projects in collaboration with Marketing team.
    • Create, improve, and maintain a standard and streamlined workflow process for project teams.
  • Devise audience segmentation to better tailor our messages to various audiences, conduct market research on marketing strategies, and ensure we are keeping up with appropriate trends.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing and improving Society campaigns—new tools, platforms, partners, outlets, best practices, marketing trends, etc.
  • Assist with establishing budgets, timelines, and work plans to ensure marketing efforts stay on track and meet or exceed performance expectations.
  • Assist Marketing Director with creating big picture marketing vision, define and refine strategic plans, and ensure smart marketing execution across client communication and campaign activities.
  • Establish strong partnerships with your cross-functional peers related to all projects the Marketing team supports, improving trust and collaboration across the organization.
