Summary
Works under general supervision of the Outdoor Recreation Manager or Recreation Specialist as a Recreation Assistant. Directly responsible for group management and safety of all participants as a number one priority. Must be familiar with all programs offered by Outdoor Recreation, as well as be familiar with local area as the position requires providing information to customers.

Must have knowledge of and experience in a wide variety of Outdoor Recreation pursuits. Applicants pursuing a degree in Recreation Managment, Outdoor Recreation, or a related field, and in the process of completing an internship or fieldwork program will be considered highly qualified.

- Instruct groups and individuals in a variety of outdoor recreation programs, such as but not limited to rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, challenge course, using a variety of teaching methods.

- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
- A one year probationary period may be required
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
- Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty
