Sparks Group has teamed with a business advisory firm that provides solutions for domestic and global companies and is searching for a qualified and motivated Director of Accounting. Responsibilities:
- Review and prepare detailed reports for complex audit, accounting and finance related issues
- Review business processes, strategize for process improvements and manage complex financial and transaction data
- Evaluate and validate GRC-related controls, audits and procedures and oversee accounting policies
- Handle cost accounting and compliance matters for federal contracts and provide guidance on related issues
- Manage investigations and inspections; develop key reports to assess risk and business value
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
- Active CPA License in DC, MD or VA required
- Previous accounting experience working at the Big 4 required
- Knowledge of GAAP and SEC regulatory reporting
- Demonstrate strong audit, accounting and technical skills to manage and compile financial data
- Cultivate successful profitable relationships with the ability to leverage networks, lead teams and prove strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication skills and
- Proficient with technical and report writing with ability to think critically and analytically
- Drive client and customer satisfaction, delivering high quality results
