Summary

We are looking for an eager, self-starter to leads improvement initiatives that streamline the customer experience provided to internal clients and the operational procedures of the vendor management cycle. Serves as a steward for functions through awareness and education and will work across several functions to create consistency in work practices for the organization
Responsibilities
  1. Develops and leads the implementation of a review methodology of all processes and resources required in the vendor management cycle, including but not limited to, benchmarking, sourcing, services, quarterly reviews, etc. Develops a full understanding of organizational needs and vendor contracts for the purposes of maximizing value to the organization.
  2. Coordinates communication and support for vendor partners and is involved with all aspects of their service delivery, including program launch and execution, ensuring the attainment of operational and quality targets, as well as service levels.
  3. Develops partnerships and collaborative relationships with multiple vendors and supports contract management in accordance with defined key performance and quality metrics.
  4. Serves as a single point-of-contact between the department and the vendor by providing the vendor with direction, updates, and access to required tools, as well as soliciting feedback, recommendations, and innovation from the vendor and internal clients.
  5. Executes analyses and reporting on vendor performance across all defined metrics and identifies trends, opportunities, issues, concerns, and successes.
  6. Works with vendors to improve performance through creative process improvement, implementation of new strategies, and awareness and education of services provided.
  7. Develops a cohesive and targeted strategic approach to working with vendor partners to advance new and existing workflows, services, and initiatives, with a particular focus on customer experience.
  8. Organizes and hosts strategy sessions with vendor partners, leadership, and other stakeholders, as needed.
  9. Conducts regular business reviews with vendors and provides performance summary analysis along with management. Performs gap analysis to ensure vendor tools, processes, and services are aligned with the customer experience goals.
  10. Fosters a customer experience culture for all functions and drives the appropriate related priorities.
  11. Develops and maintains relationships with functional areas throughout AARP to ensure consistency and alignment in the execution of services.
  12. Ensures vendor performance is aligned with the organization's strategic goals and priorities.
  13. Researches, audits, and documents customer complaints. Provides education and/or solutions to recurring issues.
  14. Executes financial functions, such as auditing and reconciling vendor P&Ls, tracking, and analyzing budget and contract costs.
  15. Provides expertise in analyzing processes and proposing improvement opportunities for Leadership financial/operations reports and decision making.
  16. Supports management in the development, implementation, and execution of a new sustainability program, including but not limited to, project goals, objectives, initiatives, or strategies. Monitors/tracks sustainability indicators, such as energy usage, natural resource usage, waste generation, and recycling.
  17. Develops reports or presentations to communicate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
  18. Creates and maintains plans, documents, workflows, and policies related to the sustainability program and its projects.
  19. Contributes to and participates in special projects, as assigned by Leadership.
Requirements

Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and 8 + years of experience in enterprise-wide operational, financial and procure-to-pay processes, system implementation, and contract sourcing/management.

Demonstrated knowledge of development/implementation of comprehensive organization-wide operational processes, programs, and systems.

Experience developing communication plans and manuals

Experience managing multiple complex projects

Strong Excel skills

Travel up to 10%

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

Experience in the hospitality industry a plus as this position has a high emphasis in customer service and experience for internal services

Experience in sustainability projects a plus.

Demonstrated strong data analysis knowledge.

Strong leadership skills, the ability to think conceptually, and the courage to introduce innovative solutions to complex problems.

Ability to work with executive-level leadership, senior management, mid-level management, and end users.
