Summary

This position is located in the Property, Acquisitions and Safety Division, Facilities Management Branch (FMB). FMB is responsible for the overall planning, acquisitions, development, management, and periodic renovation of various types of space nationwide. FMB develops policies, standards, and procedures relating to the acquisition, renovation, allocation, location and release of office, parking, and storage space and assists Bureau managers in developing space utilization plan.

Responsibilities

Provide supervision to and participated with Realty Specialist ads support employees in accomplishing the day-to-day administration of real estate and/or space management programs.

Develops performance plans and evaluates subordinates individual performance.

Oversees and evaluates the formulation, issuance and implementation of Federal Property Management Regulations(FPMR) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) functional program directives and operating procedures, nationwide to ascertain it effectiveness.

Ensure directives are current, accurate and fully consistent with all applicable policies governing the full range of space Management programs.

Represents the Bureau as the facilities management authority in interagency high-level Federal Government conferences and meetings.

Initiates and directs the development of Bureau facilities management policies and procedures.

Travel Required

Occasional travel - Some travel is required.

Education

To Qualify at the GS-14 grade level: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-13 grade level. Specialized experience for the position is defined as team leader experience; experience coordinating commerical lease arrangements , resolving contentious leasing issues, developing work schedule, priorities and assignment to administer and extensive, multi-year, Agency-level commerical leasing program, and planning and executing a multi-million dollar leasing budget.

All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. For a list of schools that meet this criteria, see www.ed.gov .
