Responsibilities

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will:
  • Apply knowledge of best practices in data management in the primary and secondary mortgage markets in order to develop innovative solutions for dashboarding, reporting, and analytics.
  • Act as an internal consultant to the Offices of the Chief Financial Officer, Issuer and Portfolio Management, Capital Markets, Security Operations, and Management Operations in supporting new requirements to support enhanced reporting and analytics, using transactional, financial, and operational data as they relate to Ginnie Mae¿s Mortgage Backed Security programs.
  • Work closely with the Technology Management Division and contracted technical resources in ensuring that data-related requirements are supported through the implementation of best-in-class tools and processes to support self-serve analytics.
  • Assist in developing Ginnie Mae data strategies as they relate to business intelligence.
  • Lead design activities for business intelligence solutions aligned with enterprise data strategy, roadmap, and government HUD standards.

This position is located in the Government National Mortgage Association (Ginnie Mae), Office of Enterprise Data and Technology Solutions. Ginnie Mae is a wholly owned government corporation created to help expand homeownership opportunities for low and moderate-income Americans, by linking global capital markets to the nation's housing markets. The Office of Enterprise Data and Technology Solutions provides analysis tools to query data repositories and generate reports

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

-Analyzing and interpreting data related to the primary and secondary mortgage markets to identify trends and patterns; and
-Coordinating with financial, business, and operational units in translation and implementation of requirements that support enhanced reporting and analytics; and
-Creating design activities to assess business intelligence needs to support program initiatives; and

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
