Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, and implements broad, critical and complex projects regarding network technology and information systems.
  • Assures the integration and coordination of the overall technical and management aspects of assigned projects.
  • Plans and conducts the assessment of technologies to identify potential solutions to complex problems with communication systems.
  • Designs, develops, monitors, coordinates and conducts a variety of technical and operational tests and evaluations for a wide range of communications equipment, systems, networks and facilities.

QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE :

For the GG-13 position, you must have applicable experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience may have been acquired in any Federal, Military, or Private sector but clearly demonstrates past experience to successfully perform the duties of this position.

Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: Experience with heterogeneous (LANS) networked environments and internetworking techniques to plan, design, manage or enhance highly efficient network systems that respond to business requirements.

In addition to meeting the qualifying experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of qualifying experience necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position. Applicants must describe how their experience meets the qualifying experience within the body of the resume.

  • This is an Information Security (INFOSEC) position. In accordance with DoD 8570.1-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, selectee must meet Information Assurance Certification standards. Selectee must have an approved waiver prior to placement in this position or achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of IA duties. IA certification is required prior to being authorized unsupervised privileged access.
  • This is a covered position and the person selected for this position must complete an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of appointment pursuant to 5 CFR 2634.903(b) (DoD 5500.7).
  • This position has been designated as "Mission Essential." Incumbent will be required to report to work or relocate to a new duty location, within the United States, in times of local/national emergency.
  • Employee is subject to recall or call back during off-shift hours, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, if required by upper management.
