Description Working Hours/Shift: Day Shift Travel: None Clearance Required: Top Secret Years of Experience Desired: 5+ years or more working with DoD-mandated end-point security technologies Education/Certifications Required: BS Degree in IT Field (additional years of experience in lieu of degree) IAT III Certification (At least one of the following: CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH) CSSP Infrastructure Support Certification (At least one of the following: CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP) Job Description The primary operating location is in Alexandria VA. Cloudburst Security is seeking an accomplished, creative and self-motivated individual who enjoys working within a dynamic growth-oriented environment. Administration and management of security controls related to HBSS, McAfee Network Security Manager and VirusScan Enterprise (VSE) Lead a team of senior and mid-level HBSS Engineers and Administrators Monitoring systems and applications on a large-scale Performing system checks, monitoring server and workstation logs for alerts, threats or issues Analysis of vulnerability notices, researching solutions, testing, applying policies and/or pushing solutions Evaluation of VSE and HIPs events The successful candidate must be able to work outside normal duty hours (shift work) to support mission accomplishment as events dictate; must be experienced with the Department of Defense (DoD)/DISA Information Assurance (IA) requirements, network environment, industry computer security standards, and DoD Computer Network Defense (CND) initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong MS Windows background with some knowledge of UNIX/LINUX. The successful candidate will have experience with applying security measures, developing scripts to apply those measures and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. This program provides Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) product implementation, documentation services of the implementation, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) assistance services of the documented system, and integration support for the transition to operations of the HBSS suite of software products for the DOD customer to aid in the installation, operation, customization, and optimization of the Endpoint Security Solution. The successful candidate must be an HBSS technical expert able to provide implementation and technical support services including: software support, configuration, maintenance planning/documentation, training, and architectural and engineering documentation. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Provide reports and brief ongoing projects to Government Lead and leadership Install and configure the latest released version of the DOD HBSS suite of software, subject to Government approval, on hardware located at various military installations throughout the world Develop and implement real-time, web-enabled views, & reports Provide engineering analysis studies to support the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintaining and operating the DoD HBSS suite of software Provide engineering source data as required to support the generation and updating of Technical Orders and other documentation as required Provide detailed installation instructions, drawings, and list of materials required to accomplish the installation of DoD HBSS suite of software. This documentation will be used as part of the C&A support services and for TO and TCTO generation of the system implemented. Prepare the HBSS suite of software for Test and Evaluation Provide software upgrades as needed to include implementing security patches, bug fixes or other critical updates as they become available within the configuration management of the Program Management Office Assist in providing daily administration transition assistance into operations for the DoD HBSS suite of software Provide technical support in the resolution of HBSS technical issues Provide technical support with maintenance planning and execution under the current software version of the HBSS suite of software Work with third party vendors on product integration as needed Participate in customer technical meetings as required Provide engineering support for customer's test preparation and on-site support test events as required. Provide source data for Remedy Change Requests to the customer's Configuration and Change Management process. Provide knowledge transfer specific to the needs of the various Army personnel organizations, ie engineering, operations, database administration, helpdesk, support center, lab, etc. to establish best practices. Conduct engineering root cause analysis to provide rigorous and thorough technical evaluation of both deployed HBSS suites and DoD client systems with installed HBSS modules installed in the DoD environment at all three tiers. Make technical solution recommendations that address fielded systems issues comprehensively, including elements of hardware, software, configuration, training, operations and maintenance of HBSS as deployed in the DOD environment. Conduct demonstration of technical solutions in a testing or limited environment that provides DOD the opportunity to evaluate and confirm technical solution efficacy, practicality, and usability prior to deployment in the operational DOD environment. Support deployment of technical solutions, including development of technical instructions, Virtual Machine templates, training programs, briefs, white papers and physical implementation of technical solutions as directed by DOD at Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3 locations . Required Experience: 5 years of expert knowledge of HBSS products In-depth knowledge of Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems Strong systems administration troubleshooting skills Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Must have and maintain a DoD 8570 IAT Level 3 or higher certification Must have an Active Top Secret/SSBI clearance with SCI Expert knowledge of policies and processes related to IA and CND implementation In-depth technical knowledge required to support program implementation of the DoD unclassified and classified Host Based Security System (HBSS) and associated situational awareness programs Ability to multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment Demonstrated ability to work well independently with little input, and as a part of a team Excellent work ethic and a high commitment to quality Desired Skills: HBSS subject matter expert with one or more of the following; Experience as an HBSS/ePO administrator DISA STIG and IAVA analysis experience DISA HBSS Admin 201, 301 or 501 certifications DISA ACAS Admin certification Ability to work in Contractor as well as Government environment with little to no supervision and have the capability to take a leading or supporting role when working in a group environment. Strong ability to work in a team environment as well as independently Possesses the ability to work with diverse, integrated, deliverable-driven teams to accomplish the larger mission Must demonstrate strong personal initiative Have a strong desire to grow technically and professionally Have an outstanding attitude and a desire to ensure customer success.
