Our Finance team serves as a critical business partner responsible for managing all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management.What will I be doing?The Senior Analyst - Technology Finance will provide analytical support for Global Technology operational and commercial/brand initiatives that drive overall financial results. You will be responsible for developing business relationships, identifying profitable opportunities, anticipating challenges, and devising and executing strategies to support Global Technology in delivering and executing on strategic objectives. You will also participate in the continuation of developing new tools and processes to align reporting conventions across the Global Technology organization in conjunction with FP&A and Corporate Accounting. You will analyze, create, review, and update coding, allocation, billing, and reporting processes to improve visibility and assist Hilton in understanding Technology operating expense. More specifically, you will:Document and prioritize tasks to ensure optimal financial results. This includes coordinating annual business planning process. Identify financial and/or operational opportunity and drive results through detailed analysis of operating financials, including development of annual operating plan. Develop presentations that compare data, highlight risks and focus on qualitative and quantities issues. Understand Technology expense chart of accounts, global accounting, and able to quickly pull and summarize costs related to Technology operations. Research and help to identify business drivers for Technology and reports findings and conclusions to upper management. Document and evaluate allocation processes internally to Technology, coming in and out of Technology, and educate partners on opportunities/sensitive to streamline and/or automate. Assess actual performance against targets to determine whether Technology is on target to reach goals and takes corrective actions as necessary. Ensure business plans are being followed and goals are being achieved and provide feedback accordingly. Support other corporate initiatives, including, but not limited to, financial systems-related projects (Hyperion Planning, UQube). Evaluate and streamline business processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Disseminate and communicate regarding assignments and projects within the department and with senior leaders/constituents from other departments, including, but not limited to FP&A, senior finance leadership, and senior Technology leadership. Lead the cross-functional links between Finance, Technology, Global Brands, Commercial Services, Accounting. Inform upper management of department's progress and advise them on key issues to help the decision-making process, particularly as it relates to current and forward financial performance and opportunities. In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely figured out by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company. Provide support to SVP Financial Planning & Analysis and VP Global Customer Organization Finance as required.
