A Lead Banquet Cook is responsible for working with the chefs, cooks, and other team members in the kitchen to prepare and direct meal preparation. A lead cook helps prepare and cook food following recipes while assisting on the line when needed and with banquet functions, keeps inventory of items needed for meal service throughout the day, assists the chefs with ordering, trains and coaches team members, helps maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and other duties in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. What will I be doing? As a Lead Cook, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products Organize Banquet Event Orders and assist to prepare all meals for functions Stock and maintain designated food station(s) Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed Assist in ordering food and supplies for the kitchen Train, supervise and coach team members Assist team members where needed in the kitchen, restaurant, and in banquets Provide excellent customer service to guests of the hotel and banquet functions Go above and beyond for our guests and VIPs in the hotel Assist with Recipes Other duties as assigned What are we looking for?
