My client is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to provide estimating and budgeting services to the Development and Construction Departments. Applicant will be responsible for estimating projects within both the Commercial and Residential construction arenas. Applicant will work alongside the Director of Estimating, with all assigned tasks. Client Details My client is an established prominent Builder/Developer that has been in business since the 30's. Their entire portfolio is handled in-house, minimizing the need for external consultants in construction, design, and architecture. Description Senior level person who has experience with building hotels, libraries, apartments, school Preparing various cost estimates and project budgets for both Interior Construction and Core and Shell Work, by studying provided building plans, reading and updating specifications, and identifying any conflicts thru the RFI process to resolve any conflicts. Ability to work as part of a team and also independently and with minimal supervision. Ability to work on multiple projects, covering all divisions of the construction process. Prepare and Maintain any/all RFI's from sub-contractors and architect/engineer of record, for all the projects. Prepare proper "Scopes of Work" per each division and then obtain bids from subcontractors and vendors based on the scope of work. Review blueprints and provide complete take offs for each division shown on the blueprints. Complete walk thru of all project areas and review for drawing conflicts. Ability to provide any and all "Value Engineering" that may be required to achieve the correct project cost. Prepare a general "Project Schedule" using MS Projects, that will then be expanded once the project is given to the construction department. Prepare and evaluate both project and tenant driven Change Orders. Attend meetings with Tenant's, Architects and Engineers and coordinate all necessary information Profile BS degree in Construction Management preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator. Experience with the following programs a must; MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project. On Screen Take Off Tools, Plans Swift or similar program knowledge preferred.
