Job Description: We are currently seeking qualified construction inspectors for district-wide construction contracts in SHA District 3 (Prince Georges & Montgomery) & District 7 (Howard, Carroll & Frederick) Counties, Maryland. Immediate openings in our Baltimore CMI Division. Qualifications/Requirements: Experience ranges from (0) years for a TET Level I to a minimum of (8) years for a TET Level V. High School diploma or State Equivalency Certificate is required Applicants must have demonstrated construction inspection experience with assorted roadway, bridge, storm drainage, TMDL and building facility contracts involving Maryland MSHA construction standards and specifications Experience with SHA OOC construction inspection contract documentation including preparing Inspector Daily Reports (IDRs), SHA Force Account Records, reconciling Contractor Monthly Invoicing and providing detailed weekly progress reports related to both project progress and budget Candidates must also have all applicable MARTCP certificates (based on contract assignment type) Must have a current SHA Temporary Traffic Control Manager's Training Course Card (or secure same prior to work assignment) Must have MDE RPC Card and SHA E&S Yellow Card All assigned personnel must also complete OSHA 10 hour training (training paid by WRA) and assist with completion of OOC Resume Packages for SHA approval prior to assignment to contracts. Verification of satisfactory SHA OOC annual consultant inspector appraisals required Applicant must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and personal vehicle for travel to and from assigned construction sites. This position may also require periodic in-state overnight travel and night work Good communication skills Must have the ability to read/interpret plans and specifications Must have writing and drawing skills necessary to complete inspection reports and sketch books Must have basic computer skills (Word & Excel) are desirable as well as experience with using computer laptops or field tablets for preparing electronic IDRs and photographic documentation Benefits: WRA recognizes that employees play an important role in its success.
