As a Project Manager (Construction), you will be supporting our client, a program management firm focused on both large K-12 renovation and new construction projects. This position is a long-term opportunity based in the District of Columbia. Job Responsibilities The Project Manager (Construction) will support the Senior Project Manager and Project Executive of large-scale programs, by leading a team that performs implementation activities for large-scale K-12 Programs. They will also serve as client's trusted advisor, offering critical analysis and reporting of project goals, such as those related to schedule, budget and quality. Deliverables for implementation assignments may include stakeholder engagements, construction monitoring, site visits, budget management, project documentation, public approvals and permitting, A&E solicitation management, schedule monitoring, account management and quality control. Additional responsibilities may include: Taking full-management responsibility for medium to large-scale assignments of over $25MM in total project cost Directing or developing client deliverables including written reports, presentations, budgets, schedules and programs that are tailored to meet client's desired outcomes and scope requirements Coordinating and directing the day-to-day activities of assigned project staff to achieve project goals and objectives Participating in staff development (eg mentoring, training, performance reviews, etc.) Participating in the advancement of quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) and training programs, focusing on consistent reviews and improvements to industry-specific methodologies and practices Directing or developing monthly client billings and ensuring timely collection of receivables Participating in business development activities (eg participating in strategic planning, developing proposals or other materials, developing and making presentation, attending industry events, etc.) Specific qualifications for the Project Manager (Construction) role include the following: Bachelor's Degree, required - a specialization in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate Management or related field is preferred 5 or more years of experience managing multiple large-scale construction projects simultaneously - experience managing multiple K-12 projects is preferred Professional experience as a K-12 Program Manager, Construction Manager or Owner's Representative is highly preferred An understanding of real estate, finance and accounting principles A comprehensive understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite (eg Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities Excellent teamwork, group facilitation and project leadership skills, with an aptitude for and desire to enable the professional development of others Demonstrated commitment to client satisfaction and ethical business practices Valid US driver's license Benefits RealStreet offers a comprehensive benefit package which includes: Paid Time Off Paid Holidays 401(k) Retirement Plan with generous company match Medical Insurance Plan which includes prescription coverage Vision Insurance Dental Insurance Life Insurance & Long-Term Disability Build a better construction career with RealStreet!
