About this role AAPA is looking for a Marketing Manager to develop and manage marketing campaigns, to support strategic objectives, foster member retention, and expand membership recruitment while advancing AAPA's brand. About the Marketing Services Team AAPA's Marketing Services is comprised of a team of five marketing professionals dedicated to providing superior quality and service. The group is designed to operate on an internal agency model, with individual team members managing their own portfolios of internal clients while collaborating closely with one another to ensure cohesive organizational strategy and execution. Marketing Services has cultivated a culture of enthusiasm and humor, as well as personal responsibility and growth. The team members enjoy leveraging data to improve results through strategic analysis, project management, and interacting with personalities and projects across the organization. Responsibilities: Develop strategic marketing plans and execute the various efforts associated with each marketing plan. This includes coordinating initiatives across a variety of channels and audience segments, evaluating the results of multiple marketing campaigns all in support of AAPA's strategic and annual operating plan. Follow AAPA processes and procedures to evaluate work orders, manage client meetings, identify unique and new opportunities (promotions/partnerships/media) to provide enhanced plans. Partner with creative teams, web team, other internal stakeholders, and external agencies and vendors. Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, driving collaboration with the stakeholders and leveraging the right internal project management planning tools. Directs, delegates to, evaluates, mentors and professionally develops Marketing Manager. Manage budgets for campaigns. Qualifications: Must have membership (recruitment and retention) experience, including lead generation and direct response planning and execution. Association/non-profit experience preferred. Understanding of best practices associated with membership marketing with new ideas. Experience building complex marketing campaigns that include digital and direct response marketing and reporting on the results. Adjusting and re-evaluating programs based on results is key. Robust project management skills with a keen eye for details. Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking. Solid communicator, collaborative teammate with a sense of humor. Flexibility needed. Experience or interest in audience segmentation; association management software experience desired. Enthusiasm for new technology and ongoing learning opportunities Minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or similar Ideally experienced with the following software/tools: Informz and/or Eloqua marketing platforms, or other marketing automation platform Google Analytics and Google Data Studio; Tealium experience a plus MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint Basecamp Paid media
