Position Summary and Responsibilities Teledyne is looking for a CNC machinist to program, setup and operate CNC mills and CNC Lathes, water jet and CNC router to cut, mill, turn, bore or drill metallic and non-metallic parts to engineering specifications. Also to setup and operate manual mills, lathes, band saws and surface grinders. This person will work in a highly qualified team, including designers, manufacturing personnel, program managers and engineers in an exciting and technically diverse organization. Work Description: Produce high tolerance, high quality details in the most efficient manner. Setup and operate manual machines, mills, lathes, saws and surface grinders. Setup and operate CNC machines, water jet and CNC router to cut, mill, turn, bore or drill metal and non-metallic parts to engineering specifications. Develop tooling and fixturing. Develop standard setup sheets and tooling and fixture diagrams. Work closely with a highly qualified team, including designers, manufacturing personnel, program managers and engineers. Qualifications Education & Experience Required: High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum (7+) years machine shop experience. Experienced machinist CNC programming experience Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models Tooling and fixturing experience Strong mathematical skills Desired (considered but not required): Advanced education Forklift Certification CAD software experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work and be effective in a team environment.
