LMI, a not-for-profit strategic consulting organization focused on the federal government, is seeking a PMO Poject Management Analyst with experience in leading or supporting government program management activities.The role of PMO Analyst is to support the PMO team including: tracking status of project deliverables and milestones; supporting the adoption of the project lifecycle and deliverables; project level risk, issue, action item/decision log coordination; monitoring the status of projects; coordination of the regular project level reporting; coordination of project Governance arrangements; assisting with the rollout of PMO practices within various stakeholder organizations..The PMO analyst will develop reports and dashboards for reporting on key performance metrics; run custom ad-hoc queries; and gather and analyze data necessary to support planning. Additional responsibilities include assisting the PMO Managers with defining and updating the project management processes, standards and governance. Responsibilities Assist with setup and rollout of PMO capabilities prioritized by leadership, based on industry standard best practicesTracking status of project deliverables and milestones based on information collected from project managersPartners with managers to identify metrics that can be used to benchmark, analyze, and reportConsolidation and analysis of the data collected from project status information, comparing results with baseline and communicating status to management for reviewGathers and analyzes data necessary to support planningProactively identifies opportunities to improve data strategy and data usageImplementing, administering and updating PMO capability areas based on stakeholder feedbackPrepare for, facilitate, and follow-up as needed for all PMO meetings (one-on-one meetings, bi-weekly status, multi-business unit, quarterly IT Governance Meeting, etc.)Enable site content management, and maintain user configuration/access permissions on the PMO collaboration siteMaintaining governance standards and reporting inconsistencies to PMO Manager for resolutionCoordination of project level risk, issue, action items, and decisions (RAID); regular follow-up on open itemsDocument standard operating procedures for PMO processesResearch into and contribute towards new PMO capabilitiesWork with the Finance team on project data in preparation for the quarterly IT Governance meeting Qualifications SKILLS Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, are required.Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.Intermediate-level knowledge and experience with Microsoft products- Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word is required.Ability to quickly learn custom software programs and database structures is required.Good organizational skills and keen attention to detail is required.Must be amenable to working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentA strong customer-centric approach is required.Must be skilled at managing stakeholder groups and balancing diplomacy and tact with assertiveness.Must demonstrate professionalism and a positive work ethic in all situations with clients, vendors and coworkers.Must be able to work under deadlines.EXPERIENCE Three or more years of working on projects within the US governmentThree or more years of experience managing projects, or exposure to the end to end project lifecycle, or managing substantial parts of the project lifecycle is required.Two or more years of experience in working within a structured project management framework is required.Knowledge of project management tools and techniques is required.Professional experience with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel and Access required.EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or equivalent work experience.PMP certification is preferred.
