George Mason University's Department of Criminology, Law and Society invites applicants for the tenured position of Professor to start August 2020. About the Department of Criminology, Law and Society

The Department of Criminology, Law and Society is a top-ranked, multidisciplinary unit that offers degrees at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels (ranked 11th in U.S. News and World Report for Criminology doctoral programs). Our graduate program balances theory, empirical research, and policy applications. Our undergraduate program has concentrations in law and society, criminal justice, and homeland security. Responsibilities and Required Qualifications:

The Department is seeking candidates with significant accomplishments in research, teaching, and service who currently have a dynamic research agenda in any area(s) of criminology, criminal justice, law and society, or related areas. Full professors will be expected to teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, mentor and supervise graduate students, and provide service to the department, college, and university. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in a related discipline and be tenurable at the rank of full professor at Mason.
