Assistant/Associate Dean for Admissions & Enrollment Management

The Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University is searching for an experienced, energetic, and data-centric individual to fill the position of Assistant/ Associate Dean for Admissions & Enrollment Management. The Assistant/Associate Dean for Admissions & Enrollment Management, reporting to the Dean, or the Dean's designee, is the chief admissions officer for the law school. As the senior admissions and enrollment leader working closely with the Director of Admissions, the Director of Graduate Studies, the Director of the Juris Master Program, and the Director of Marketing & Recruiting, they will have specific responsibilities for leading, managing, and directing law school student recruitment and enrollment based on a combination of data analytics and experience.

Duties: The Assistant/Associate Dean for Admissions & Enrollment Management: ● Manages all admissions and recruitment functions for the law school. ● Works with the Dean, or the Dean's designee, and the faculty admissions committee to establish annual recruiting and enrollment criteria and goals. ● Serves on other faculty committees as assigned, including those involving curricular decisions. ● Is responsible for annual evaluation of all applicants to the JD and law school Masters programs and for the applicant admissions decisions. ● Collect, analyze, and utilize data to inform strategies and decisions including all admissions recruitment and outreach programs. ● Is responsible for pipeline projects, including all 3+3 programs. ● Develops the scholarship strategy, program and policies; administers the scholarship program by evaluating applicants and making scholarship decisions. Oversees processing of awards. ● Plans the Law School's Admitted Student Open Houses and Orientation for new students. ● Directs the recruitment plan to include online and in-person recruitment, including attending national and regional recruiting events and regular visits to college campuses. ● Oversees the Admissions Office budget and any sub-budgets for diversity recruitment and enrollment objectives and for Masters program recruitment and enrollment. Supervises the work of the Director of Admissions and Diversity Services, the Director of Graduate Studies, the Director of the Juris Master Program, the Admissions Office Manager, and all part time employees and student tour guides and volunteers of the Admissions Office. ● Reports to the Senior Associate Dean and serves as an advisor to the Dean, of the Dean's designee, on management and strategic planning of the Law School. Salary for this position will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Required Qualifications: ● The ideal candidate will have a JD and significant demonstrated experience in the admissions field and working with diverse students. ● This position requires excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as dedication to customer service. ● This position requires proficiency in planning, project management, and coordination of complex tasks. ● The position requires flexibility, sound judgement, and demonstrated ability to work with a diverse community of faculty, staff, students and external constituencies.
