Assistant Professor of Korean Studies

The George Mason University Department of Modern and Classical Languages invites applications for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Korean Studies beginning Fall 2019.

Responsibilities include teaching Korean language and literature courses, research, student mentoring and service to the community.

Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in Korean Language, Korean Literature, Cultural Studies, or related field, native or near-native fluency in Korean, and a solid commitment to research, mentoring students and service to the community. Looking for candidates with curriculum development and program building experience who can research and teach North and South Korean language, literature, and cultural studies. Candidates without this experience will still be considered. ABD's will be considered but must have degree by start date.
