Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to act as primary support to the Advance Sales Box Office Treasurer, supervising ticketing operations for that area with the dual goals of providing a high level of customer service and maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide guidance to ticket sellers in Advance Sales Box Office, and oversee the completion of related departmental tasks.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers, and ensure equally high quality customer service from ticket sellers; maintain positive attitude and team spirit within the department while keeping the environment professional.
  • Assist with daily reconciliation of all orders processed through Advance Sales Box Office.
  • Work closely with the Subscriptions Department to meet ticket mailing deadlines; assist with the printing, stuffing, and mailing of all subscription tickets; facilitate patron ticket exchanges and communications via phone, email, fax, and mail; process Circles Office seating requests for high level donors; assist with supervision of contacting patrons for cancelled or changed performances.
  • Check all aspects of event setup for non-ticketed events in the ticketing system (e.g. Education performances and Millennium Stage).
  • Perform all duties of the Advance Sales Box Office Treasurer on an as-needed basis.


Key Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of box office/sales/customer service experience, including at least 1 year of experience supervising and training.
  • Proven strong customer service orientation and a professional demeanor when dealing with the public and with colleagues; problem-solving skills, diplomacy, and tact, and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills and strong basic math skills; proven accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of computer ticketing systems; interest in and knowledge of the performing arts.


Hours:

Monday-Friday 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
