Job Details

The purpose of this position is to act as primary support to the treasurer of the Eisenhower and Terrace Theaters, supervising ticketing operations for those venues with the dual goals of providing a high level of customer service and maintaining accuracy and efficiency. The schedule for the position is 40 hours per week as follows:

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Direct co-workers, provide guidance to ticket sellers at the box office window, and oversee the completion of related box office tasks.

2. Assist the treasurer for the Eisenhower and Terrace Theaters, assuring timely fulfillment of special ticket orders, group contracts, setting and releasing house seats, etc.; perform all duties of a treasurer on an as needed basis.

3. Check all aspects of event setup for the Eisenhower and Terrace Theaters in the ticketing system.

4. Reconcile box office receipts and deposits on a daily basis, and prepare box office statements.

5. Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers, and ensure equally high quality customer service from ticket sellers; maintain positive attitude and team spirit within the box office while keeping the environment professional.

6. Work with theater managers and company managers to fulfill policy and contractual agreements, as well as helping to ensure smooth front of house operation; work with promoters on setup and sales of their events.

Minimum Skills and/or Knowledge Required

1. At least 3 years of box office/sales/customer service experience, including at least 1 year of experience supervising and training.

2. Proven strong customer service orientation and a professional demeanor when dealing with the public and with colleagues; problem-solving skills, diplomacy, and tact, and ability to work well under pressure.

3. Proven leadership skills.

4. Written and verbal communication skills and strong basic math skills; proven accuracy and attention to detail.

5. Knowledge of computer ticketing systems; interest in and knowledge of the performing arts.
