Junior Accountant / Accounts Payable ABOUT THE COMPANY Our client is a leading real estate company and they're looking for a Junior Accountant / Accounts Payable Accountant. The firm boasts a team-oriented culture and provides its employees with the tools and training necessary to perform. They have an accounting team of four people but one of them is scheduled for maternity leave so they need an extra set of hands while they assess their needs in the department. Pay is $18-24/hr. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT / ACCOUNTS PAYABLE: Check and approve all vouchers for payment. Communicating with vendors and property managers. Prepare invoice deduction notices, as necessary. Answer all vendor inquiries. Analyze vendor accounts and negotiates extended terms with vendors when cash is restricted. Prepare accounts payable checks. Print all accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable files. Prepare analysis of accounts, as required. Assist in monthly closings. Assist with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary. EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT / ACCOUNTS PAYABLE: 1-3 years of accounting experience Accounts Payable experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bilingual in Spanish is a major plus Please email your resume for immediate consideration.
