Our client, a multinational aerospace and defense company, is actively looking for an Application Engineer , to join their Surface Transportation and Critical Infrastructure team in Annapolis, Maryland! As an Application Engineer you will assist in all phases of the system engineering procees by supporting my client's rail road software environment! This is a 6 - 12 month contract to hire Required Skills & Experience of the Application Engineer Hands-on experience with C, C++ Hands on experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Development experience under Windows/Visual Studio Requirement analysis, design, system configuration, development, test, field installation, code and unit test/system integration 2+ years experience working in software development for mission critical systems Desired Skills & Experience of the Application Engineer HTML, Node.JS, SQL, Web Development Requirements Analysis, Design, Development, Debugging, Test, Implementation and Integration. What You Will Be Doing as an Application Engineer You will perform: Design new elements or changes in scope of project software. Extend existing components to implement client requirements. Participate in requirement analysis, design and code reviews. Assist with fucntional testing and documentation. ASsist in documentation of procedures, training and enhancements.
