LMI requires a Logistics Policy Analyst with an understanding of Department of Defense ground vehicle maintenance and Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPC) to support the office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Materiel Readiness. The position is part of a team of collaborative sustainment professionals who deliver practical and effective solutions to assist our client's oversight of CPC efforts within the broader maintenance enterprise of the Department of Defense. The majority of the work will be performed in concert with other LMI staff and government personnel located at the Pentagon, the Mark Center, and the Tysons location. Occasional travel to DoD research or sustainment locations may be required. Responsibilities The candidate will lead tasks in collaboration with Government personnel and other LMI teammates to analyze maintenance data and processes, conduct studies and analysis regarding CPC-related strategic planning, policy development, training/certification, and interaction with the acquisition community, all toward improving the sustainment of DoD weapon systems, facilities, and infrastructure. The candidate shall support the execution of the long-term strategy for CPC and alignment of CPO initiatives within the larger DoD acquisition and sustainment systems. This logistician position supports the development of reports, policy recommendations and revisions, in coordination with OSD/Joint staff and the Military Departments. The candidate must be able to work collaboratively to fully understand the issues and positions of all stakeholders and effectively communicate the results of studies, analyses, and improvement initiatives to clients and other stakeholders through written and oral presentations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in operations preferred. Military experience in lieu of education is acceptable A minimum of 5 years of experience required Experience with DoD's logistics practices specific to ground vehicles, maintenance, logistics data systems, corrosion prevention and control program, and policy development process Knowledge of DoD logistics policies for, and experience with, execution of field level maintenance practices, especially sustainment-related data practices Knowledge and experience with weapons systems maintenance, military organization and structure Excellent analytic, writing, and presentation skills Available for occasional travel Secret clearance required
