Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking multiple Network Engineers to support fast-paced cutting edge programs ensuring national security and defense. The positions are located in the Annapolis Junction, MD greater area. This position represents immediate opportunities across multiple programs. Though each program has specific labor categories which must be met prior to placement, all candidates must minimally meet the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below. NGCIMSMD Basic Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in related technical discipline (including but not limited to computer science, data science, information systems, science, engineering, math, economics, or aerospace) from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional network engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. 2+ years of Experience Designing or Maintaining network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Ability to evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network or designing and planning network communications systems. Knowledge of specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture or conducting testing of network design. Active TS/SCI w/polygraph Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) along with 2 or more years of system engineering experience. Broad technical and network engineering in Cisco, Brocade, Wan, LAN, CAN, and PKI. Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, trends, and tools. Experience with the NIST 800-53 Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and respective documentation. Technical expertise/knowledge of Cloud Engineering and Security, VMWare/virtualization, data flow engineering (eg NiFi), DevSecOps/DevOps, programming languages (eg Java, Python), Databases, and/or Network Engineering Past experience/Willingness to support technical proposal efforts. AWS, ASEP/CSEP, Security+, CISSP, CISSP-ISSEP, CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, and/or other DoD 8570/CWIP-compliant certifications Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
