Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Computer Systems Engineerto join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Linthicum/ Baltimore, MD. What You'll Get to Do: As an innovator in the field, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems aims to be the world leader in novel computing systems architecture and design. Qualified candidates will have opportunities to incorporate advanced technologies such as superconducting electronics, machine learning, advanced materials, and statistical analysis of system performance, with the goal of developing entirely new kinds of computing capability for our customers. Roles & Responsibilities: Computer Systems Engineers work as a team to perform advanced concept development usingestablished systems engineering approaches. Based on detailed trade studies, requirements analysis, and modeling and simulations, our engineers develop modern solutions to satisfy current mission requirements as well as emerging challenges. Basic Qualifications of a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's Degree or higher in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) in Physics, Mathematics, Computer, or Electrical Engineering ora similar technical discipline with 9 years of related experience (seejob description) or 7 years with a Master's Degree, or 4 years with a PhD. Preferred Qualifications of a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer: Master's Degree Computer Engineering or Digital Processing Professional hands on experience in systems engineering tools Experience with Verilog or VHDL Experience with C++ and Python Experience with analysis, design, or test of superconducting electronics Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
