POSITION: Immigration Attorney GENERAL PURPOSE: Butzel Long is seeking an experienced immigration attorney to join its Washington, DC office. Applying candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience providing legal representation in immigration, and naturalization. Corporate immigration experience and a strong book of business is preferred. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Represent clients in all areas of business immigration law Maintain current clients with immigration needs while establishing new clients Utilize web-based immigration case management software and database Conduct immigration related research Support corporate clients in immigration compliance and program management SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Significant experience in immigration related matters Excellent research and writing skills Organizational and project management skills Proficient in the use of on-line legal research services and legal resources available on the internet Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) Must have sound judgment Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision Actively involved in activities resulting in business development EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING: Must be a graduate of an accredited law school Admitted to a state bar in the United States 5-7 years of experience as a practicing attorney
