Human Resources Recruiting Coordinator The George Mason University Housing and Residential Life Department is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to serve as a part time Human Resources Recruiting Coordinator. Work Tasks & Duties: Recruitment, Hiring & Onboarding

Administrative Tasks: * Review, update, maintain University Life Position Descriptions and Employee Work Profiles in concurrence with the Annual Employee Performance Review * Complete all necessary administrative tasks and documentation to hire wage and non-wage employees, in alignment with all internal George Mason University Human Resources processes * Maintain records and documentation involved with the staff hiring process to ensure records are accurate * Maintain candidate status updates within applicant tracking software * Assist UL Human Resources Shared Services staff with the preparation and delivery of offer letters, packets, background checks, and onboarding documentation and materials * Create, process, and produce University Life Human Resources Shared Services weekly tracking reports of active search processes * Maintain and confirm search committee training records in partnership with Human Resources * Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and internal George Mason University policies concerning employment

Hiring: * Consult with hiring authorities regarding staffing needs when vacancies occur and throughout the hiring process * Serve on employee selection committees and attend meetings, on an as-needed basis * Support the overall scheduling of interviews, coordinate logistics and details of interviews serving as a liaison with position stakeholders and candidates * Assist with written and verbal communications of candidates throughout interview process on an as-needed basis * Serve as the liaison between the search committee and candidates to answer any questions throughout the hiring process * Assist with conducting reference checks on an as-needed basis

Recruitment: * Recruit for open staff positions throughout the division of University Life * Work directly with University Life Communications and Marketing to advertise and promote job postings within University Life to support the recruitment of a diverse and talented candidate pool through external listerserv, social media, and university communications

On-boarding: * Works closely with University Life Staff Engagement & Development in the onboarding of newly hired staff * Assist with the development and coordination of employee on-boarding sessions

General HR and Payroll * Serve as back up support to internal Shared Services team members to ensure consistent delivery of services to the workforce. * Cross train in areas of payroll, wage, and student wage hiring * Submit EPAFs on an as need basis * Perform other job related duties as requested

Required Qualifications: * Effective interpersonal communication and customer service skills; * Ability to prioritize work, follow through, and willingness to be flexible; * Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism; * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines; * Experience with collaboration and communication with diverse individuals with differing needs at all levels of the organization; * Demonstrated experience with data entry; and * Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications: * Demonstrated experience in recruiting * Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) * Higher education or pubic workforce experience
