The Product Designer will support product design efforts for payments that occur throughout clinical trial operations. You will collaborate with the product owner, scrum team, and both internal and external stakeholders to create optimal product experiences that follow established design principles and support business needs. The Product Designer sits in a hybrid organizational model, reporting to the Senior Manager of Design, while being embedded on their respective scrum team(s).Summary of Essential Job FunctionsWork collaboratively with product owner and scrum team from concept to production, to create solutions which support business goals and work within technical constraints, while optimizing the experience for users.For each project, understand the business problem, and identify the human problem. Advocate for the user throughout the project, using best practices and research data to support design rationale.Use a wide variety of user research techniques from concept to implementation to understand mental models, user needs, and patterns of behavior to test assumptions, and inform the design.Identify user goals.Create low or high-fidelity wireframes or prototypes that include interaction design, content and visual design at the right level of detail needed to communicate the intent of the design.Conduct design reviews with the team and with stakeholders, both internal and external. Synthesize feedback and iterate. Rinse and repeat.Understand enough about the technical environment to be familiar with its limitations.Collaborate with development and QA throughout the implementation process to answer questions and pivot when technical constraints require changes to the solution.Support the use of styles and patterns from the design system, and contribute new patterns as needed.Contribute to evangelizing a user-centered design culture. Participate in wider Product Design Team processes and initiatives.Participate in the agile process.Seek out guidance and feedback from more senior members of the product design team.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position does not have responsibility for managing people. Minimum Experience RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology or related disciplines.2+ years industry experience designing solutions for complex web-based or enterprise applications.Skill RequirementsGeneralist user experience professional, with experience in product design for complex web-based or enterprise applications. Experience with user research.Ability to have an empathetic, human-centric approach to analysis, with working knowledge of usability and accessibility standards.Ability to understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research and design.Excellent analytical and creative thinking abilities.Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.A strong desire and eagerness to be curious, inquisitive, and innovative.Comfortable with ambiguity.Strong attention to detail, with an understanding of how a project fits in with larger strategic goals.A love of complex problems inherent in enterprise software development.Join UsMaking a positive impact on human health takes insight, curiosity, and intellectual courage.
