Sinclair Broadcast Group is seeking a Compliance Attorney to provide legal services for our television stations and other businesses. This position will report to SVP/General Counsel and play a key role in finding solutions, which balance legal and commercial interests. Responsibilities of this role will include: Primary point of contact on end to end business and legal compliance Oversee compliance for FCPA, OFAC, and other regulatory and compliance matters, including FCC regulatory matters. Develop and document ethics and compliance policies and procedures Provide legal support for any compliance investigations and audits Provide and oversee company training and education for compliance policies and procedures Review and draft legal documents and advise employees on legal and regulatory issues related to vendors, projects, and sales and marketing. Monitor and inform executives on compliance executive requirement Collaborate with subsidiary executives and counsel, outside counsel, and internal management Conducting legal research as necessary Requirements: 6+ years corporate and transactional law experience at a leading law firm. Broadcast, FCC or other media law related experience a plus JD from an ABA accredited law school with exceptional academic credentials with a law school class rank of at least the top 20% Admission to at least one State Bar Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal, organizational and computer skills Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively and provide leadership to the team Local candidates (Baltimore region) preferred but relocation may be considered for the right candidate Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace!
