Job As a Senior Analyst / Developer of Salon Systems you will design, develop, test, debug, implement and maintain simple to moderately complex solutions using various web and database technologies to support customer business objectives. Manage your projects and communicate with your customers. This role provides project management, programming, and application support to the Salon Operations and Upscale Brands. Responsible for the entire project life cycle for most IS projects for these departments. Also performs application development for projects in other departments as needed. Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field Experience: * 3-4 years progressive experience in supporting and developing Java web applications Equipment/Computer Software: * Proficient in writing/diagnosing SQL. * Languages/Platforms: J2SE, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JSTL, JDBC, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, XML, Adobe Acrobat Forms, Oracle Forms and Reports * Development Applications: Java IDE (Eclipse, NetBeans, JDeveloper, etc.) * Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional * Databases and Servers: Oracle 9i/10g, MySql, Apache Tomcat, Oracle Application Server Skills and Abilities: * Ability to determine customer needs * Self-disciplined and able to work independently with minimal supervision * Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements elicitation through maintenance and support * Capable of business process analysis and determining when to apply specific technologies to improve processes * Ability to manage your projects, including communicating with project sponsors and stakeholders regarding project progress, issues * Good written and verbal communication skills * Ability to achieve working knowledge in new technologies quickly * Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work based on your project workload and company needs and objectives * Problem identification and resolution skills.
