As the first person to join the team in a product development management role, you'll have a unique impact on our technology, our team members, and our company. You'll interact with users, lead development teams, and be a key member of our early leadership. So, we're looking for someone who's excited to put their fingerprints on our product, and to lead development teams toward consistently meeting user needs. A strong sense of ownership, an interest in mentoring, and an agile mindset, are a must. In this role, you'll: Work directly with senior leadership on product development Participate in requirements gathering, design sessions, and develop a product roadmap that blends user needs with Healytics' vision for the future of genetic data management Work with senior enterprise architects and developers to define a technical product roadmap, set goals and timelines for feature release Mentor junior development team members, in both technical and non-technical aspects In an agile context, assign and monitor work, provide technical support and direction, and develop processes necessary to execute Monitor progress through all phases of the software development lifecycle to ensure on-time delivery of highly performant products, course-correcting as necessary Provide oversight, quality assurance, and serve as the first point of escalation for software development challenges Establish development team metrics and monitor results Technical Skills Bachelor's in computer science, information systems, or similar 10+ years of work experience and 2+ years of people management experience, Experience working with healthcare enterprise software Experience in big data systems, data analysis, and system integration of software products into complex environments Highly proficient with JavaScript; experience with PostgreSQL, mongoDB, Accumulo, Hadoop, Azure and the Atlassian suite of tools is preferred Experience using Agile methodologies, especially in the context of early-stage product development Organizational Skills A comfort working collaboratively and cross-functionally, including with outside stakeholders like users, customer technical teams, and integration partners A strong sense of ownership The Ideal Candidate Enjoys a fast-paced and frank environment Collaborates easily to solve problems creatively and respectfully Adapts quickly to incorporate user insights and customer requirements Wants to have a hands-on impact on our product, culture and company Why You'll Like It Here Competitive compensation, including equity.
