We are seeking an IT Security professional who has experience working in a federal contracting environment using the NIST 800 standards for audits, compliance, and security planning and improvement. This person may have been an ISSO or IT Security Auditor, IT Security Engineer previously and has managed a small team of cyber security staff. We will need 10 years working experience with 5 of those in IT Security and at least two years working in a federal envioronment. Our client is within the agencies that fall under the US Department of Commerce. The key requirements are: Manage a team of 3 Cyber Security Professionals for US Federal Contract Must have experience in US Federal Agencies - US Citizen Serve as Lead Client Point of Contact Perform IT Security Audits Oversee contract to comply with NIST and PIA standards Track performance metrics and create performance reports Communicate trends, performance improvement and goals Interface with executive team routinely on program status Recommend IT Security improvements based on program findings Our selected individual will be responsible for delivering work outlined in our IT Security Statement of Work which is comprised of an ISSO, Security Engineer, Auditor and this position, Project Manager. This position is a working management role and the manager will also contribute to the monthly work goals of the team by conducting audits or serving in a Project Management role helping to manage timelines and facilitating communication and logistics to accomplish patching, audit and compliance programs to be accomplished on time. The program manager will help the employees be successful and interface with the client for program deliveries, reporting, process improvement, compliance, and other management support. Our candidate will be able to interface with agency managers, CIOs, field ISSOs and other stakeholders effectively in writing, during formal and informal meetings. We would expect this individual to have one or more security credentials and keep up-to-date on IT Security best practices. Our contract is in its first year and has 4 option years remaining.
