Summary

This position is located in the A/C Revenue Collections Management of the Bureau of the Fiscal Service. The A/C Revenue Collections Management provides government-wide services and support to Federal agencies in the area of revenue collections and associated remittance data collections.

Responsibilities

As a Financial Programs Specialist, you will:

- Provide advice and guidance to Revenue Collections Management program areas to build, maintain, enhance and operate collection channels, gateways, and programs.

- Work with Federal agency customers to establish and improve working relationships and provide guidance, resolve problems, and perform duties associated with a central service provider.

- Develop strategies and plans for the adoption of and conversion to Treasury revenue collection and deposit reporting systems and programs to achieve the furtherance of converting paper collections to electronic throughout the government.

- Formulate policies, plans, processes, and procedures for managing and continually improving the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting, financial, or revenue collection channels and gateways.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

-Experience managing information technology projects.

-Experience developing strategies to carry out day-to-day operations of developing, executing, monitoring and promoting a program.

-Experience assessing the degree to which program goals are met and developing findings and reports that identify program problems and required corrective action.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:

For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation. Periodic reinvestigation is required no later than five years after selection and at least every succeeding five years.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
