Responsibilities

If selected for this position you will provide a variety of administrative support services to the Office of Legal Programs, Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA), in the following areas: procurement, budget, security, internal controls, mail, reproduction services, forms management, equipment, communication services, supply, and property management. Typical work assignments will include:
  • Perform an in-depth analysis of staff and program budget requests by Legal Programs managers and supervisors, employing such techniques as cost-benefit analysis, program trade-offs, and exploring alternative approaches to funding.
  • Review and edit budget requests to assure they conform to agency and EOUSA requirements.
  • Analyze the spectrum of procurement and purchasing services requirements for Legal Programs.
  • Analyze and evaluate current office systems and develop new or alternative procedures to improve the effectiveness of work methods and procedures.
  • Maintain property records, oversee property inventory, and dispose of excess property.
  • Make purchases within delegated monetary authorization and guidelines

Qualifications

GS-11: Applicants must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 in federal service providing administrative and technical support for accomplishing the work of the unit; a full range of management and administrative support to include federal procurement process, federal budget, property management, space management, and general office services; providing administrative and technical guidance to staff; monitoring and handling sensitive material; and planning, evaluating, and implementing long-term operations for a major storage program.

Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. If your agency has notified you in writing that you are a displaced employee eligible for ICTAP consideration, you may receive selection priority if: 1) this vacancy is within your ICTAP eligibility; 2) you apply under the instructions in the announcement; and 3) you are found well-qualified for this vacancy.
