Our Client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for an on-site position to become part of their Network Engineering team providing technical design and planning functions supporting communication systems.Description Designs and plans network communication systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing. Also involved with installation, maintenance, advance troubleshooting and administration of existing network systems. Work with end-users and responds to user inquiries. Modifies configurations and standard templates. Participates in major network installations and upgrades. Troubleshoot complex network problems. Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriated resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance. Presents recommendations of network interfaces and configurations.Skills Required1. Proficient in supporting Cisco Switching , routing and wireless environments.2. Must have solid understanding of physical layer infrastructure.3. Good communications skills and ability to work with "technical smarthands" over the phone.4.Proficent user of Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (ie Excel).5. Work independently while practicing defined processes.Helpful Experience 1. Knowledge of Cisco PRIME Management Systems.2. Knowledge of Cisco ISE and Network Access Control (NAC) networks.3. Good understanding of Remedy Ticketing System.4. Familiar with other network tools such as NetBrain and/or Infoblox DHCP/DNS.5. Cisco CCNP certification in switching and/or wireless networks.6. 10+ years supporting large corporate enterprise Cisco infrastructure. Cisco CCNP Certification or equivalent experience and training certificates in support Cisco networks.Education: Bachelor's Degree and 5-10 years of work experience or equivalent experience supporting Cisco networks. Cisco CCNA Certification or equivalent experience and training certificates in support Cisco networks.NOTE: There will be overtime with this position--There is no per diem with this position--There is no relocation budgeted for this position.
