GENERAL DESCRIPTION A cents € " POSITION OVERVIEWKols is in the business of selling a wide range of rigid packaging solutions and services, including glass and plastic containers, caps and closures, and pumps, taps and sprayers.A' As the Sales Manager, in addition to your individual focus on key accounts, you will lead a team of Account Executives who are tasked with generating profitable sales growth. This individual will be responsible for generating revenue growth and achieving individual, team and organizational quotas. This individual will also be a valuable contributor to the corporate sales strategy: leading implementation and driving execution to achieve corporate sales objectives. Ideal candidates should possess a solid business-to-business product sales and management history and, at a minimum, a general understanding of the packaging industry.Customers range from Fortune 500 to Small Size businesses in markets such as household, beauty, pharmaceutical, personal care, laboratory, spirits, industrial and cannabis; your opportunity to prosper financially will be defined by your sales success.COMPENSATIONCompetitive salary commensurate with experience, including significant auto allowanceMedical, Dental and VisionGenerous PTO benefits, including vacation, holidays and personal daysFully paid life insuranceOption to purchase additional voluntary benefitsProfessional and personal development opportunitiesOpportunity to work for a result driven, cutting edge organizationA " ?ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESSALES MANAGEMENT:Sales Leader whose primary objectives are to meet sales growth targets, direct growth,A' organizational health and exceed customer satisfaction goals.Hire, train, direct, and motivate sales team members in all strategic and tactical aspects including management of existing accounts and cultivation of new customer accounts, prospects and outbound marketing.Coaching direct reports in sales strategy, pipeline management, opportunity management and career planning/development.Organize and manage training for SOPs and work instructions.Provide customer and staff support when material and specification changes are required.PROSPECTING:Prospect, develop accounts and manage assets to maximize sales goals.Meets personal and team goals for prospect pipeline, number of calls, and other prospecting behavioral measurementsACCOUNT DEVELOPMENT:Participate in establishing territory sales budgets and development of strategies to achieve budget requirements.Work closely with Sales Management Team, Business Directors, and Customer Service staff to serve customer needs.Become a sustained resource through value- added sales capabilities.SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIPS:Interface with Supply Chain, Product Managers, Marketing, and Production as necessary.Organize and participate in customer audits of the Company and supplier production facilities.Source product and effectively utilize and manage supplier relationships.Help grow and maintain a healthy vendor ecosystem to drive sales and maintain knowledge of new product development.DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEThe position requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a BS in Marketing, Business Administration, or related discipline.At least 8 years of sales management experience in a B2B environment with a QUANTIFIABLE record of success in sales force development, business development, and sales goal achievement.Documented success selling to C-level executives and multiple levels of decision makers in large complex accountsExperience with training and developing new sales reps in consultative sales and leading experienced sales professionals to grow their business and maximize their sales.Understanding and familiarity with packaging industry quality and regulatory methods.Experience in the rigid packaging industry or related industry is required.Experience in plastics and/or glass molding is preferred.Familiarity with assigned sales region preferred.Experience with computerized order entry, CRM software, and basic MS Office products required.Proven prospecting, follow-up, and consultative selling abilities.Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to relate well with a diverse constituency.Strong business acumen, leadership skills, negotiation skills, conceptual and analytical skills, and interpersonal effectiveness.Regular and prompt attendance requiredA' PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be physically able to safely lift products and equipment of up to 50lbs. This may involve the climbing of stairs or ramps, and may be required in all types of weather conditions.
