MUST BE US CITIZEN AND HAVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCEElectronic Systems Security Design Engineer supporting a wide variety of security system technologies. This position is responsible for the design and implementation of systems for new or existing security infrastructures, including Physical and Logical Network Intrusion Systems, CCTV, and Perimeter Protections. Will also involve all aspects of security design and requires individuals who are willing to validate designed solutions in a hands-on environment where our engineers build and test the systems they design in a lab environment. This involves the following:Design of security system architecture for ACS, IDS, CCTV, etc.Design LAN and WAN topologies for security systems including switches, routers, and firewallsIntegration of security systems with VMWare, Windows and UNIX operation systemsPerform various engineering and implementation tasks such as site surveys, system verification and validation and test check-out, system operation verifications tests, and engineering escalation support for project and operational environmentsSupport for certification and accreditation of network and platforms to DISA standardsDevelop wiring and mounting details in AutoCADAnalyze data collected during site surveys with an emphasis on identified field of specialtyVet new equipment/systems through the product labAssist with generation of performance verification testing and field device testing plansGenerate various calculation, including but not limited to power, heat, voltage drop, conduit sizing and bandwidthDevelop compliance matrices and other project support documentationValidate drawing package to ensure comformity to all requirements listed in the compliance matrixResearch optimal equipment/systems to be included in proposalsIdentify and resolve field device and system application and interoperability issuesUtilize trade drawing (ie architectural, electrical, mechanical and civil) in order to identify potential design and installation problemsAssist in the development of drawing sheet requirements for a design packageAssist in mentoring associate engineersDevelop an in-depth knowledge of and utilize relevant sections of NEC, NFPA 101, ICD 705, NIDSPOM and other industry standards documents as part of design and installation effortsParticipate in engineering peer reviews for quality control and quality assuranceSupport and author white papers for information sharing and collaborationSpecific position quirements are as follows:2-4 years experience with a Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline (BS)6-8 years experience with an Associates DegreeDesire skills:MDI CertifiedVerint CertifiedDMP CertifiedVindicator CertifiedCNL PISM CertifiedExcellent compensation package!
