Due to increased business we are looking for anA' In-Charge Accountant to join our practice, working from our Frederick, Maryland office.A' If you are a highly motivated, career-minded individual if you're interested in business and want to work directly with business owners if you're looking for a career opportunity that offers more than just a paycheck then weA cents € (TM) d like to hear from you.Job duties will include:Assist Senior Accountants with audit and accounting engagements, including planning, budgeting and overseeing the job efficiency.Develop and prepare complete, accurate and orderly workpapers.Supervise, train and review the work of Staff Accountants on audit/review engagements.Prepare client financial statements.Research GAAP and financial accounting matters.Work independently on larger engagements and assist in compiling information into final report.Obtain a thorough understanding of client's business, systems and procedures, recognizing control weaknesses and recommending proper disposition.Maintaining client confidence by keeping information confidential.Maintaining firm's reputation by complying with regulations and professional ethics of the AICPA and MACPA.Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Qualified applicants will possess:4-year degree in Accounting or related fieldA' .A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' CPA or candidate preferred2-6A' years experience in public accounting auditing and review, to include overseeingA' staff accountantsExcellent time management and detail-oriented skillsAbility and willingness to travel locallyMKS&H offers a competitive benefits package; including a cafeteria healthcare plan, 401k participation, tuition assistance, business development incentives, a technology loan program and much more!
