The 401(k)/403(b) Participant Advisor will be part of the team that provides on-demand financial planning and fiduciary investment advice to the employees of our corporate retirement plan clients. You will work on a 1:1 basis determine the financial needs of clients and to provide advice and make recommendations on products and services that best meet their needs. Duties may include assessing assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance coverage, tax status, and financial objectives to establish investment strategies. The candidate will be working as part of the firm's Institutional Client Group. This role requires some travel. Responsibilities Review and provide on-demand financial planning recommendations and analysis Review and recommend 401(k) and 403(b) plan investment strategies Lead 1:1 participant meetings (in-person or via web/phone conference) Conduct group education sessions (in-person and/or webinars) on various financial planning topics and issues Utilize Greenspring's financial wellness and fiduciary advice platform to engage and support employees Work with the Institutional Client Group to track and report on activities and outcomes for ongoing client management Interact with plan sponsors and retirement plan committees in both the pre-sales and post-sales process Document all activities in Salesforce Embody Greenspring's Core Purpose and Core Values Qualifications Minimum 2-3 years in financial services industry, preferably in an investment/financial planning capacity. Experience working with defined contribution plans a major plus Bachelor's degree and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (TM) certification required Skills & Knowledge Detail-oriented and methodical; critical thinking and process oriented Follows up and follows through Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects A team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments, in addition to the ability to be highly relational with clients Ability to excel in a fast-paced, changing environment Willingness to take initiative and problem solve Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills Self-starter who is assertive, proactive, independent, flexible and accommodating Experience working with defined contribution plans a major plus Experience in most Microsoft Office applications. Comfortable learning and navigating new technology and software applications.
