This role is responsible for conducting analyses on internal and external salary statistics. Based upon the information collected, she or he will recommend, develop and implement an appropriate compensation structure involving configuring pay grades and evaluating new employee titles and ongoing reclassification. The incumbent will work in partnership with the Human Resources Department to ensure that compensation programs are competitive in the market and maintain internal equity. This position requires the incumbent to communicate effectively with employees of all job levels and personalities. The successful candidate will have good evaluation skills and the ability to convey information in legible reports to others. Responsibilities: Collaborates with other departments and HR on a variety of projects related to employee compensation Administers the company's compensation program and communicates to managers, employee and executives as required Assists with the coordination of and company participation in surveys related to employee compensation Develops and documents procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Works with others in HR to help educate other managers regarding compensation matters Helps to communicate compensation-related information for new hire orientations Works with managers, incumbents and HR to evaluate positions on an as-needed basis Prepares job descriptions and maintains/updates them as required, including the development of new ones and retirement of obsolete ones Determines the job classification status regarding overtime eligibility for each position in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Works with the manager and employee regarding essential duties and accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Works in conjunction with the HRIS function regarding systems inputs and updates regarding compensation items Helps to coordinate annual performance review cycle as required Coordinates reports as needed Performs other duties as required Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field including Human Resources, Business Administration or Finance or equivalent work experience required A minimum of two (2) years' related professional experience required World at Work Certified Compensation Professional Certification preferred Skill in compiling, organizing and analyzing data Must be organized and efficient Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and use sound judgment regarding confidentiality Must have excellent oral and written communication skills Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop rapport quickly across many different job functions and departments Must be knowledgeable in the MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Must be self-motivated, flexible and open to change Must stay current regarding the latest trends in the field Qualified candidates should send their resume AND call Sparks Group for additional details.
