This position will serve as a key member of the Multifamily Asset Management Surveillance/Guarantor & Investor Relations team with primary responsibilities focusing on evaluation of performance of the securitized multifamily portfolio. The successful candidate will evaluate credit quality and monitor the performance of commercial real estate assets to highlight potential risk to investors , while ensuring compliance with government regulations and/or company policy. In addition, they will monitor portfolio performance through review of Watch List, and delinquency reports.

Your work will generally fall in the following categories:

Loan/Property Surveillance
  • Perform data analysis on global portfolio to identify risk including review of servicer watchlist
  • Assess loan-level risk through analysis of operating statements, rent rolls and servicer property inspections
  • Monitor portfolio performance through review of delinquency, maturing loan reports and other data sources
  • Perform property site visits/market tours; Assist in generating reports related to portfolio performance

Internal Reporting
  • Review monthly trustee statements ensuring guarantor payments are correct, and subordination levels are adequate
  • Track guarantor payments and ensure timely reimbursement
  • Various internal ad hoc reporting

Customer Service
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external parties including servicers and investors
  • Participate in monthly conference calls regarding property/loan status and performance


  • Typically has 3-5 years of experience, with finance, commercial real estate, and /or apartment operations focus
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Quantitative Analysis or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired
  • Strong expertise in MS Excel with ability to create macros, tables, charts, etc.
  • Intermediate expertise with regards to MS Power Point and MS Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management.
