  • This position is considered Emergency Essential to the overall support of the SIGAR Mission. If considered emergency essential, failure to meet emergency essential requirements may result in separation for the efficiency of the Federal Service.

  • Must complete a Form SF 312, Classified Information Nondisclosure Agreement.
  • Must be eligible for and be able to maintain a TOP SECRET clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance; subject to random drug testing.

    In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).     Experience required: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: providing technology support and knowledge of computer software/hardware and high level of insight into the operation of Joint Service Provider.

  • Serves as Alternate Information Management Officer (IMO) for the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR), and manages troubleshooting of IT equipment, software, and process failures reported by personnel. Identifies and validates IT requirements and conducts market research to prepare funding requests; and provides regular updates to management to ensure milestones are met.

    Participates as a stakeholder in conducting technical, analytical, and development of local IT polices, plans, and processes ensuring that agency requirements are compliant with DoD and Federal regulations. Assists agency Information System Security Officer (ISSO) with implementation of agency system security plan.

    Documents IT hardware and software assets in accordance with Federal, DoD and ARMY regulations. Collaborates with the SIGAR Property Book Officer (PBO), IMO's, ISSO, contractors, and hand receipt holders for IT asset acceptance, distribution, tracking, vendor warranty, and asset management data entry.

    Implements the SIGAR information systems life cycle to include collection, processing, storage, and disposal of IT assets. Advises and assists the Director of Information Technology with conducting risk analysis and cost-benefit analysis when purchasing new IT assets.

    This position may require flexible hours.
